Posted on Friday, June 17th, 2011Day 2 of our Sandals vacation was spent hanging out on the beach, reading a good book, taking a nap and sampling the mixed drinks from the pool bar. After some much needed rest and relaxation, we wanted to stay up a little later and sample some of the entertainment Sandals has to offer. After dinner at Giuseppe’s, we headed Read More…

For our 20th Anniversary, my husband and I decided that we wanted to celebrate by going some place with “blue water”. That was about the only instruction we gave Mike of Southern Travel Agency in Augusta, GA. We could look down into the crater. The picture is of a “silver sword”. It lives high on the sides of the volcanic mountain and blooms one time, then die. Read More…
We Are Not Alone!
Posted on Thursday, February 24th, 2011There were two other large cruise ships at anchor in the bay at Cabo San Lucas. Everything was jumping and the shopping was great. The houses built on the cliffs look as if they might topple into the bay at the first big wind. I don’t know how they do it.

To think the Panama Canal was excavated, constructed, engineered without the use of modern equipment… No heavy earth movers, no steam shovels, just man power. The Gaillard Cut, which represents 15% of the waterwayʼs total length, necessitated the excavation of enough material to have built 63 pyramids, similar to those found in Egypt. First the ship had to be raised Read More…
