Italy Luxury Travel – Our Client Esther’s Vacation Journal: Sometimes travel can become more meaningful than to simply “make a journey, of some length or abroad.” This was certainly the case for our client Esther Murray and her vacation through Italy and Greece. Her dear friend and travel companion passed away a month before their planned luxury Europe vacation, but Esther knew what she had to do for her friend and for herself.

“I had a 6:45 pickup with an early appointment at the Sistine Chapel in Rome. This is the place Nancy wanted to go the most, so I took her passport and ashes with me today.

I had my picture with the passport and left her in the Sistine Chapel. She has a beautiful spot to rest in.”

The following entries are excerpts from Esther’s own travel journal. Our travel advisors were honored to help Esther plan her exploration of these beautiful European countries, and we are excited to share her travel story.

Esther’s Italy Luxury Travel Story Starts Here …

“This vacation is not what it was supposed to be …

I was supposed to be with my friend Nancy from Canton, Ohio. Sadly, she passed away last month so I am by myself. Not alone because she is with me in spirit.

If that’s the best I can do, I’ll take it.

Exploring Venice

Venice is everything I imagined and more …

I could get lost here (in both meanings of the word) and never surface again.

I leave tomorrow and don’t want to.

The people, the atmosphere, the beauty, the food, the slow pace and lack of cars and horns.

Venice is like eating an entire box of chocolate liqueurs in one go. ~Truman Capote Click To Tweet

I could go on and on …

I have been on 99% of the canals, so Enrico told me.

I have toasted my friend in St. Mark’s Square. Listened to beautiful music, watched amazing glass blowing, been emerged in beautiful lace making, and soaked up the history and beauty of this place.

Tomorrow I take the train to Florence.
