What’s more, the new resort will be located right next to the original Sandals Barbados property, so guests can take advantage of the “Stay at One, Play at Two” Exchange Program. Explore two stunning resorts chock full of inclusive amenities and beautiful beaches, at no additional cost.
2. Sandals Grande Antigua Set to Reopen:
More December Sandals resort news — the stunning Sandals resort in Antigua, which was closed in September for updates, will reopen this December.
Since this is the only time the Sandals Grande Antigua resort has closed since opening in 1992, we expect the refresh will add an even more luxurious luster to the only Sandals property in Antigua.
3. Fourth Sandals Property in St. Lucia:
Ever on the cutting edge, Sandals has announced that it is building a 4th Sandals property in St. Lucia, an all-suite resort to be called Sandals La Source St. Lucia.
Some of the main draws at this new resort, set to break ground this year?
- A winding river pool that snakes around every room block, giving each room block unobstructed access to the main pool.
- We’re also thrilled to learn that Sandals will also be constructing its first roof top infinity edge sky pool here. Enjoy uninterrupted 360-degree views of St. Lucia’s lush north coast.
4. New Properties Coming in Trinidad and Tobago:
While still in the early stages of planning, Sandals is coming to the breathtaking island nation of Trinidad and Tobago.
Even more good Sandals resort news?
You can expect two new properties to be opening here:
- a new adults-only Sandals resort and
- a new family-friendly Beaches resort.
At an exclusive event just for travel agents, Sandals CEO Gordon “Butch” Stewart announced that these new properties will combine all the best of existing Sandals resorts.
We can’t wait to see what Sandals has in store for Trinidad and Tobago — it’s sure to be exceptional.
5. Beaches Turks and Caicos Reopening This December:
The premier all-inclusive family resort in Turks and Caicos is set to reopen this coming December on the 14th.
Some of the resort got damaged during Hurricane Irma, which pounded the Caribbean in September.
Beaches Turks and Caicos is one of our favorite properties to send families in search of luxury to. We can’t wait for the resort to bounce back and reopen for its eager guests.
“We worked with Mike Kerbelis to plan our destination wedding at Beaches Turks & Caicos, and he was always there for me. Southern Travel Agency also had a relationship with the Beaches general manager, which helped us get “perks” like a room upgrade when there technically weren’t any available, and reserving the hibachi restaurant in advance. We also created travel welcome bags, and we wanted to hand deliver them at the resort. Mike got us a list of everyone’s flights and arrival times so we could greet them in the lobby. Between the Beaches wedding planner helping us with all the wedding details and Mike helping with all the travel arrangements, everything was covered.”
